Willow Sue Torka

Lansing, MI

Willow was born on December 28, 1953 in Pigeon, MI to William F. and Frances M. (Wilfong) Weeks and died peacefully on December 6, 2011, with her family at her side. She loved making quilts and doing crafty handiwork. She was a seamstress and had sewn some of the drapes that are in the State Capitol building. Willow was compassionate and welcoming to everyone she met. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Willow will be missed very much by her husband, sons and family. Bob will love her forever. She was preceded in death by her father William Weeks. Willow is survived by her husband Bob; sons Robert (Michele), Aaron (Kelly) and Timothy (Josette) Torka; grandchildren Devin, Brandon, Robert, Anastasha, Amanda, Alexandra, Olivia and Carter; mother Frances Weeks; brother William A. (Terry) Weeks and sisters Belinda (Robert) Ross, Camille (Michael) Hawks, Caroline (Gary) Maday as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Service for Willow on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 2:00pm at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI. with visitation from Noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in care of the family.
