

A resident of Donaldsonville, Harry passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at 6:30 am. He was 86 and a native of Barton, LA. Harry served his country during the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Army. He also was a member of the VFW, DAV , and the American Legion. While a member of the American Legion, he was the Firing Squad Commander for the 21-gun salute for 37 years. He loved metal detecting, fishing, and playing his guitar. He was such a kind and good hearted man who never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn Becnel Millien; three daughters, Debra Tusa and husband Mike, Gladys Porrier, and Eve Albarado; two sons, Thomas Millien and wife Deborah and Harry Millien, Jr. and wife Tonya; two sisters, Mary Medine and Helen Clouatre; a brother, Henry Millien of Cameron, TX; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Eve Millien; sisters, Elnora Lobello, Virginia Jones, and Rose West; brother, Jack Millien; granddaughter, Kaylie Barras; and great grandchildren, Colby Falcon and Audrey Reid. Visiting will be at Ascension Catholic Church, Donaldsonville, on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas Millien Jr., Trey Millien, Kenneth Falcon, Cody Barras, Layne Barras, Blaze Falcon, Mike Tusa and Kaz McDade. The family would like to thank Bridgeway Hospice and the staff of Our Lady of the Lake.
