

Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all. She graduated from Belle Rose High School and Charity Hospital School of Nursing. She lived a life dedicated to her family, faith, and community. She touched the lives of many and left behind a legacy of selflessness, humility and kindness. Her devotion to her Catholic faith was an integral part of her life. Unwavering faith guided her actions and interactions with others. She was known for her compassionate nature, her ability to listen with empathy, and her willingness to help those in need. Her selfless spirit and generous heart were evident in her many acts of kindness, both big and small, that extended to her family, friends, and strangers alike. We will remember her for the love, faith, and goodness she brought into the world. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her, and may we all strive to emulate her selfless and humble example in our own lives.
She is survived by her three sons George, Jr (Donna) Claude and John (Johnna); three daughters, Leslie Nelson (Kirby) Cindy Hales (Troy) and Sandy Blanchard (Kevin); nine grandchildren, Georgia Daniel (Alec), Hayden Shaheen, Kayla Bagley (Brodie), Vance Nelson (Emilie), Landry Nelson (Lily), Garrett Hales (Kelly), Parker Hales, Dylan Blanchard and Olivia Blanchard; three great grandchildren, Gavin and Eden Bagley and Koen Moore; one brother, Joseph Claude (JC) Landry and one sister-in-law, Amelia Lanoix.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband; George, parents; Claude and Ida Landry, sister; Marian Blanchard, brother-in-law Wilton (Buddy) Blanchard; sister-in-law; Janet Landry and one grandson; Mace Nelson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville from 8:00 am until 11:30 am, then the Mass of Christian Burial for 12:00 pm at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church. Entombment in the church cemetery to follow. Father Matt Dupre will be officiating.
