

A native and resident of Belle Rose, Marguerite passed away at her home on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the age of 92 surrounded by family. Born December 14, 1922, she attended beauty school in New Orleans after graduating Belle Rose High School. While a wife, mother, and homemaker, Marguerite enjoyed, for many years, volunteering her time to the Assumption ARC and as a hairdresser to Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Napoleonville. She served St. Jules Catholic Church in earlier years preparing many children for First Holy Communion. In later years, she enjoyed fishing and relaxing at “Camp Amnesia” on Lake Verret and took pleasure in her casino trips. She is survived by daughters, Vickie and her spouse, Lee H. Cafiero, Jr, of Houston, Texas; Joy and her spouse, Mike Pizzolatto of Batesville, Arkansas; sons Neil and his spouse, Elmira Mabile Landry of Bayou Corne, LA; Jim and his spouse, Sally Landry, and Danny and his spouse, Brigette Landry, all of Belle Rose, Louisiana. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kara Cafiero Parker and her spouse, Ben, and their daughter, Kaylin; Leah Cafiero; Bert Landry and his spouse, Kristi, and their children, Jake and Andrew; Benjamin Landry and his spouse, Laura, and their children, Brady, Braxton, and Blake; Timothy Landry and his spouse, Lindsey, and their children, Ava, Grayson, and Julia; Jimbo Landry and his spouse, Nobie, and their children Landon, Lauren, and Amelia; Brad Landry and his spouse, Melissa, and their children Abby and Alex; Ted Landry and his spouse, Dusty, and their children Haylie and Hagen; Michael Pizzolatto and his spouse, Danielle, and their children Gabriel, Cecilia, and Dominic; Sarah Pizzolatto; Luke Pizzolatto and his spouse, Cara, and their children, Noelle and Corinne; Jacob Landry and his spouse, Michelle, and their daughter, Lily Cate; Brandon Landry; and Jordon Landry. She is also survived by a brother, William ‘Beagle’ Dupre’. Preceded in death by her husband Neil D. Landry, Sr., her parents, Henry and Victoria Hebert Dupre’, as well as siblings Eddie, Anna, Edgar, Cecil, Herbert, Thomas, Thelma, Ethel, Gertrude, Clifford, and Rudolph. Visitation will be held at St. Jules Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 22nd from 10:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Her nephew, Fr. Matt Dupre’ will officiate with interment to follow in the church mausoleum. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
