

Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She served as a secretary for the Ascension Parish school system for twenty years, offering guidance, care, and kindness to everyone she met.
In her spare time, Marilyn loved cooking, baking desserts, and tending to her plants. Above all, her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with the people she loved.
Marilyn was an active resident at Chateau D’Ville Nursing Home, where she participated in daily activities. Some of her favorites included Bingo, crafts, and praying the Rosary.
A devout Catholic, Marilyn deeply cherished her faith and was a lifelong parishioner of Ascension Catholic Church in Donaldsonville.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of sixty years, Larry Ourso Sr.; two children, Shannon Ourso (Tia) and Rachel Weber (Sterley); one daughter-in-law, Toni Ourso; eight grandchildren, Nicolas Ourso, Ashton Ourso, Addison Ourso, Collin Weber, Jacob Weber, Brittany Campenella, Peyton Barbera and Lauren Barbera and her four siblings, Rosemary Bolotte (Ralph), Wanda Millet, Eileen Luquette and Barbara Simpson (Scott).
She is preceded in death by her two children, Larry Ourso Jr. and Darrel Ourso; parents, Larry Sr. and Rosemary Simon Luquette and her two siblings, Larry Luquette Jr. and David Luquette.
A memorial visitiation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 10am until Mass of Christin Burial at 12pm at Ascesnion of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville, LA. Interment will be at the church mausoleum.
