He was a graduate of Catholic High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy shortly thereafter. He is best known for his job as a lineman for Entergy. Scozzie enjoyed fishing on Lake Verret and spending time relaxing at the Lake Verret Camp. One of his favorite things to do was to go riding in his buggy. Even though he was retired, Scozzie would go work with the farmers in the cane fields. You would definitely find him at home and at the camp enjoying a beer and swinging on his swing. Another pastime was making trips to the casino and enjoying all the buffets. Most of all, Scozzie enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, four children, Brett M. Landry (Sandy), Wayne A. Landry (Aprilyn), Sonja L. LeRay (Todd), and Amy L. Denham (Derek); seven grandchildren, Brittany, Brandi, Trevor, Cami, and Colby Landry, and Claire and Cole LeRay; and one sister, Patricia L. Breaux.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Elaine L. Landry; his parents, Cecile and Maver Landry, Sr.; and sister, Joan L. Newchurch.
The pallbearers will be Brett Landry, Wayne Landry, Trevor Landry, Colby Landry, Todd LeRay, Derek Denham, Mark Breaux, and Jeff Newchurch.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Father Matthew Dupre will be officiating.
