Ronald was a proud daddy and pawpaw, he always bragged about his family and made it known how special they were to him. Spending time with his family was the highlight of his life. He was a talented woodworker and would spend several hours in his shop. Ronald made many gifts for others with his talent but was mostly proud to be able to give away the things that was made by his hands and heart. When Ronald was not in the shed, you could find him spending time at the camp hunting deer. He was also an avid LSU fan. Ronald was drafted into the U.S. Army in October of 1958 and worked as an E-4 Mechanic until he was discharged in 1960.
Ronald leaves behind to cherish his memory his four daughters, Pam Blanchard, Rhonda Gauthe', Claudette Landry (Duffy Jr.), and Wendy Arvel (Tod); nine grandchildren, Meagan Simoneaux (Jim), Kelsey Walker (Donald), Haylie Peterson (Tyler), Alexis Blanchard, Hannah McDaniel (Brody), Cameryn Gauthe', Malerie Arvel, Brennan Landry (Jacelynn), and Sadie Landry; four great grandchildren, Avery, Cohen, and Wyatt Simoneaux, Whitley Peterson and Grayson McDaniel, and two siblings, Donald Charlet and Mary Ann Aucoin (Leonard),
He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty nine years, Clarice Rousseau Charlet; two great granddaughters, Francis Quinn Peterson and Sophie Claire McDaniel, and parents, Alphonse and Bevian Charlet.
A visitation will be held at First Baptist of Napoleonville on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 9:30am until Service at 12pm. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
