

Thomas “Tommy” Joseph Navarre also known as the man on the porch was born on August 8, 1951 and died on February 22, 2022 at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge at the age of 70. He was a native and resident of Donaldsonville, LA. Tommy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He never met a stranger. Tommy had a complicated personality. He was loving, caring, and funny. He was one of a kind. Tommy had a special relationship with his nieces and nephews. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of forty eight and a half years, Regina Medine Navarre; one daughter, Cherish Navarre Rodrigue and husband, Ramone Rodrigue; two grandsons, Noah and Brailon Navarre; one brother, Gregory Navarre (Darlene), and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Navarre and Rita Fernandez; step father, Morris Fernandez; four sisters, Janice Aucoin (Harold), Peggy Dwyer, Nancy Falgoust, and Lovely Dwyer; four brothers, Donald, Terry, Bobby, and Steven Navarre and one nephew, Patrick Dwyer. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Ascension Catholic Church in Donaldsonville from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am officiated by Father Matthew Dupre. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank: Dr. Jeffrey Hyde and his staff, Dr. Glenn Schexnayder, Dr. Brian Monet, Dr. Smith, Dr. Ford, Dr. Helmke, Dr. Castellanas, Dr. Michael Davis, Dr. Dampke and his nurse Nicole in ICU and Dr. Pasche.
