I sure do miss you mom, nothing has changed since January 20, 2013. They say it gets better with time, but it doesn't.  We just learn how to deal with it, how to hide the pain.  We Learn to hold back  our tears, fake a smile, but the pain in our hearts just won't ease. I guess the ones that said it gets better with time, never loss someone as special as you. Love you mom.

Happy Easter Mom and Dad.  Life is so difficult without the two of you here. Holidays are even harder.  I miss you both more than words can ever express.  Went to the grave again today. For a brief moment I could smell your perfume mom.  In my heart I know you are letting me know you are still with me.  I love you both with all my heart and I feel so much emptiness in my heart. It's been 1 year and 6 days since you passed away.  I struggle every day with the pain in my heart and the emptiness I feel in my life. There is not a day that goes by that I don't cry. I do my best to hide my pain and put on a smile.  When I am at work it is like I can pretend nothing has changed as long as I don't have to much time to think. Days when things are slow I find it hard to hold back the tears. When I come home I wait for your call or text saying " how's my baby girl" or telling me how you wished I didn't have to work so hard. I can still picture your face and hear your sweet voice, I can still feel your love and your encouragement, but it's not like before when you were really here. There is times when I am alone where I can smell something so sweet but only for a second or so. I really believe it is you telling me you are still with me. I will go on and deal with my heartache and I know I can because you made me who I am today. I see you when I look in the mirror and feel your strength everyday. You were one amazing lil woman.  I love you mom, you will forever be in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers. You were my angel here on earth now you are my angel in heaven above.   Love and miss you so very much.

Its makes a year today you left this world. Our hearts still hurt, and tears still flow. Everything we do reminds us of you. Some of us its a song. Some of us its a smell. Some of us just looking at the sky knowing your near. We thank you for all the memories we have. We will hold them in our hearts till the end of our time. I had a dream about you two nights ago. You seemed happy, just worried about us. It felt like you were still here. You were sitting on the couch at my house like you did this past christmas , we were all talking , an you asked about jasmine so i went get her to show u to her and she couldnt see you only the alduts could and when i went to give her to you , you coukdnt hold her and then i woke up. Hope your doing well in heavan maw maw. I love you. I lknow you are watching over us. I hope im making you proud. Dont worry about we will be ok as long we have you watching over us. Well I don't know where to begin, I guess first thing is to say I love you so much and I will miss you forever. I can remember it like it was yesterday, we were at your house and you would be yelling at us for doing something wrong or getting on your nerves. Nolan, John, Nicole, Tommy Jo, Junior, and I would spend so much time with you at your house. We loved spending with you and with each other at your house. I know we were a lot to handle, but somehow you would take us all in no matter if it was one of us or all of us. You always seemed to be happy and smile even when you fussed at us. To many people, we were just grandkids, but to you, we were just like your kids. I don't know if it was the fact that we were kids of your children or if we just reminded you of your own children in the way we acted but you treated us like we were your own kids. You was a shoulder to cry on and a ear to talk to. you was always there for me. You helped raise us from little boys to great young men and women. I know you had many other grandkids but you took a special interest in us. You took care of Junior but also had enough time and love for the rest of us. I can speak for all of us when I say thanks for the great job you have done. We love you so much and words can't describe how much you mean to your grandkids, kids, and so many friends. I have learned a lot about you in this last week and there was things I already knew. Mamaw, you were loved by so many. You never stopped caring and being so sweet and nice to everyone you came into contact with. They all had a deep found love for you and cared about you. I have never met someone that has had such a big heart for everyone you met. As we got older and became young men, you kept on giving to everyone and took in two great-grandchildren and made them into great kids that you would be so proud of. I know you are proud of the job you did. They are so lucky to be able to spend so much time with you like I did. I didn't get to see you as much as I would have liked since I got older and moved away, but I know you always understood why I couldn't make it in and would always ask about me. Everytime I called my mom, I would ask about you. I am sorry that I didn't get to see you for mother's day and for christmas. I was trying to come in for new years weekend and the 13 and 14 of january but I couldnt make it in. I was determined to come in the 24 and 25 weekend of January, but it was a little to late and I didn't get to see you. Everyone says they never got to say a proper goodbye, but atleast they got to see you. I didnt get to see that big beautiful smile and those eyes that said I loved you even when you was mad at us or yelling. I opened your gift to me and I loved it. I want to thank you so much for it. You have served your time on this earth for God and did an amazing job with everyone of your kids, grandchildren, and friends. I know this isn't goodbye, it is merely a see you soon in heaven at those pearly gates. I know you are looking down upon and smiling. The young man that you see being strong for everyone is only strong because you helped make me that way. You were like a mother to me when I was away from my own mother. You were special to so many people especially my mom, dad, family and myself. We love you so much. You will be missed my so many. Rest in Peace my wonderful Grandma. 

P.S. I can't wait to see you again so we can look down at the new generations and say how much they remind you of your grandchildren and how much they are like you. Mawmaw Vera was and will always be in my heart.She has been in my life since I was four. She wasnt my blood grandmaw, but blood dont make a family. She always treated me and my two brother just like her own grandkids. Would do anything she could for us. I love and respected her more then words could say. This is a trouble lost for me, and all of us. I wish more people had just a part of a heart like she had. This world would be a greater place. I love you mawmaw and you will be greatly missed.

RIP maw maw. you will be truly missed. This doesn't even feel real to me, it feels like i am having a very bad dream. I can't believe you are gone, it happened without of a change to say a proper goodbye. But i know you are watching over all of us now and that it was just your time to go. I'm gonna miss coming visit you all the time on my way home from school. you had the biggest heart and i admire you for that. love you maw maw.

Mrs. Vera was truly a sweet lady, she is loved by many and missed by many more! May she forever rest in peace in God's house. My prayers go out to the family's and friends of this beautiful lady. "You have her in your keepings and we have her in our heart's"

Words cannot express the feelings I have going on at this time. 
I know I am just a daughter in law and that is all many will see, but you and I shared a different kind of bond. You called me your daughter even thou we didn't share blood and I looked up to you as a mother. You lit up my life, my hopes, and my dreams. You opened my eyes to see what life really means. 
I am not sure what I will do without you, we shared something so different than a daughter in law/mother in law relationship. You were my shoulder to cry on; you were my rock. I will always admire you and love you for the person you were. 
You always loved those angels and now you are one, so fly high and watch over all of us. You will be missed, but one day we will meet again.

I want to thank every one for the prayers. My mom was a beautiful lady with a big heart. She never wanted much, what made her happy was knowing her kids were happy. She always said she wish she could have all her kids as babies again. We were her life. She also loved her grand kids with all her big heart. She didn't have a lot of money but every Christmas she would buy all her kids, their spouses and grand kids a lil gift. It didn't cost much but it sure came with a lot of love. I could go on forever about the love and kindness in her heart. Anyone who knew her knew she was the sweetest, most loving lil woman. God I miss her so much. I know she is in heaven watching over us and I need to be stronger because even though you feel no pain in heaven she will not rest seeing how much pain we are feeling. I love that lil lady.

Love and miss you mawmaw. You were the most kindest and loving woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I can't even imagine how to move on from this
