Wilma C. Simoneaux

Wilma C. Simoneaux, formerly “Sister M. Eugenia O.S.B.”, age 88, a native of New Orleans and resident of Napoleonville, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2011.

She is survived by two sisters, Catherine S. Simoneaux and husband Huey and Mary S. Francis; two brothers, Roy J. Simoneaux and wife Dorothea and Philip P. Simoneaux and wife Carolyn; sister-in-law, Joyce H. Simoneaux. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents Eva and Philip Simoneaux; brother James Simoneaux and four sisters Ethel Mae Simoneaux, Sister M. Lucy O.S.B., Evelyn Simoneaux Stamps, Marie Teresa Simoneaux.

She was a graduate of Loyola University with a B.S. in education, Notre Dame University of South Bend, Indiana graduate with MeD in Supervision and Administration and she pursued her PhD at Catholic University in Washington, D.C.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Ourso Funeral Home of Donaldsonville from 8:00am until 10am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville at 10:30am, with the Rev. Andrew Merrick, celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
