

Arnulfo Hernandez was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Arnulfo will be remembered as an outstanding individual.
He was the son of Frances and Arnulfo Hernandez. He was born in a hospital in Sonora, Mexico and grew up in Los Angeles, California.
Arnulfo was raised with six siblings. He had five brothers, Alfredo, David, Gamaliel, Moises, and Johnny, and one sister, Maria Elena. Arnulfo was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Arnulfo had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from high school in Sonora, Mexico in 1962. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
On March 17, 1972 Arnulfo exchanged wedding vows with Natalia Blanco at Iglesia Apostolica of Los Angeles, California. Empathic and loyal, Arnulfo was committed to making his new family happy.
Arnulfo worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Arnulfo was blessed with five children, two sons, Jacob and Aaron, and three daughers Vanessa, Alba, and Sarah. Another blessing for Arnulfo was the gift of twelve grandchildren, Eric, Lucy, David, Elisa, Ruby, Irene, Phillip, Arianna, Elena, Jacob, Alexia, and Alicia.
Arnulfo enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were bbqing and cooking, especially menudo and pollo asada. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Arnulfo enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for him to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. His favorite vacation was to Arizona.
Arnulfo was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. His favorite pets were love birds and red canaries. They were best friends for two years.
Arnulfo passed away on April 18, 2009 at Lynwood, California. Arnulfo fought a brave battle against cancer. He is survived by his wife Natalia, children Vanessa, Alba, Jacob, Sarah, and Aaron, and his twelve grandchildren. Services were held at Whites Funeral Home. Arnulfo was laid to rest in Forest Lawn, Long Beach, California.
Simply stated, Arnulfo was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Arnulfo leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Arnulfo Hernandez.
