Floyd was the youngest of Guy and Mable Draper’s eight children. He attended school in Council Bluffs, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1948.
He served as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate Third Class, in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War.
After graduating from Long Beach State College, in 1962, he went to work for Ford Motor Company, where he worked for 26 years.
Floyd is survived by his wife Tamara, children Paul (Valerie) Draper and Kimberly (Dennis) Carll, sister Wilma, six grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
