Berito was born April 5, 1936 in Vichadero, Uruguay.
He was the second born, having 1 younger and 3 older sisters, all preceding him in passing. He immigrated to the United States in 1960 and would settle in New York. He was married in 1962 and had 2 children. Together with his wife and kids he would move to California in 1979. He enjoyed playing soccer as a young man and played on several club teams. Berito was a painter for 52 years and owned his own business for the majority of that time. He was a hard worker and appreciated every opportunity to provide for his family. He was a Downey resident for over 33 years.
Along with his wife Olga he celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary this year. He was extremely proud of his family, especially his 4 grandsons. Berito was the recipient of a heart transplant and enjoyed a full life for nearly 20 years with his new heart.
He is survived by his wife, Olga Da Silva; daughter Mariela Da Silva; son Herb Da Silva and wife Ana; and his grandsons Tommy, Ricky, Andy and Christian.
