Jan Veltman

Born on October 17, 1934 in Blija, Friesland of the Netherlands, Jan was the husband of Katherine Veltman and father of Tonja Hibma. He is preceded in death by his father Dirk Veltman, mother Akke (Agnes) van Dijk, brother George Veltman, sister Evelyn DeVries, and his beloved wife of 52 years, Katherine. He is survived by siblings Tena Bom, Peter & Joe Veltman, daughter Tonja (Edwin), grandchildren Elizabeth (Nathan), Christine (Daniel), & Jonathan, and four great-grandchildren.

A Korean War Veteran and electrical engineer for military defense projects, Jan had a fiercely loyal nature and approached life with an unwavering spirit, often standing firm in his beliefs and values. He was a talented photographer, delved deeply into Biblical theology, and enjoyed preserving his family's history through genealogy.

Always ready with a joke or a friendly smile, he easily made friends and left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. Jan will be fondly remembered by those ,who loved him.
