Neighbors since 1974 watching our kids grow up and play nearby. Our sympathies and prayers

When I look back on my PHS days ,I can’t help not to include him! It’s funny we all had separate groups of friends but we always found ourselves going to the same parties, beach and school events. We would have a blast in class being funny and sometimes disruptive.  Rest easy Jarrod and know that you will be missed more than you know! 🙏🏻

I’ve known Jarrod since elementary school.  In junior high we had pretty much all the same classes together and he brought such light and levity into each class.    He was funny, and sometimes he would laugh at himself but never at the cost of someone else’s feelings.  
He was always smiling and surrounded by friends.  I only saw him a few times after high school including our 10 year reunion where he looked so content and at ease, I remember feeling happy for him.  
News of his passing has really saddened me and I think it’s partly because I always just assumed I’d see him again some day.    
RIP Jarrod.  You were a friend to everyone  that knew you.  

Rest easy my friend. No more suffering or needing to impress. I’m so sorry I wasn’t there for you. You were my white twin in comedy.  You always showed love. You made the diversity at our school really cool.  I’m praying for strength for your family, as well as your friends. Once a Pirate, Always a Pirate...

I met Jarrod in a Spanish class at PHS. We sat next to each other. I was a shy and quiet person but that didn’t deter him from speaking to me. I can’t remember what we laughed about but of course it was something Jarrod related to me in a whisper while we listened to a Spanish album Mrs. Nelson played or just while sitting waiting for class to start.  I’m thankful to have known him.

I met Jarrod at PHS when we had 1st period economics with Mr. Witham (coach). Jarrod brought that class to life with his wit and quick comebacks. He and coach would go back and forth not only talking about economic affairs but by also using wrestling analogies. lol 
I not only learned a lot about economics and wrestling, but also about the kind of person Jarrod was. He was kind to all and included everyone in the conversations. I admired how he carried himself with confidence  and charm. He always called me “EdieLope” and gave the best hugs. We didn’t keep in touch much after high school, but I do remember seeing him at a mini HS reunion about 20 yrs ago and it was as though no time had gone by…he was still as friendly and witty as ever. 

Jarrod, thank you for bringing joy into this world with your kindness and infectious smile. You will be greatly missed but I’m certain I will see you again. ♥️🙏🏼 RIP, friend and fellow Pirate.

Jarrod…aka Spyder, was the funniest KNAC personality! Always fun, making us laugh when on the air & in person. He is going to be incredibly missed.

My heartfelt condolences to Jarrod’s family & friends. 

I went to school with Jarrod since Alondra and then to Paramount H.S. He was the life of our class. I had him in a couple of classes and he just brought laughter within the class environment. After Highschool, I ran into him at a car show where he had a booth for the radio station he worked at. When he saw me all I heard across the way was "POOCH!!!!!" I'm like,  no one knows me by that nickname only PHS friends and sure enough it was Jarrod. I waved and smiled and he did his funny gestures. A couple of years ago, I ran into him by Walmart in Paramount and we talked at the parking lot just catching up on old times. He will truly be missed by all. May the LORD give his family strength during this difficult time and may his soul Rest in peace knowing he was very well loved. Until we meet again my friend.

I will always remember Jarrod as a really nice and funny guy in high school. We had a couple of classes together and he always brought positive energy and joy. He made us smile with his amazing charisma and hilarious sense of humor.  I wasn’t surprised one bit that he pursued a successful career in radio and entertainment.  May you rest easy and in peace, Jarrod.  PHS Class of 1988. 

Jarrod was my birthday twin; October 5, 1970. We always made sure to shout each other out on our special day. I would tease that I was older by a few hours. We met at Alondra Jr. High. We went on the 8th grade DC field trip together and were exchange students for Paramount High School's student exchange program. Prayers for his family and friends. Especially his parent's who were always so nice and accompanied us on some of the trips we went on. He was such a fun loving guy~ My heart hurt with the news of his passing. Into paradise may the angels lead you my friend. I took this picture at our 30 year reunion in 2018.
