Jeanette Pauline Peterson was born on July 8, 1937, in Freeport, Illinois, to Carl J Peterson and Pauline Ethel Klein and was one of four sisters. She married Eugene Garrett Siebdrath on November 1, 1955, and moved to Southern California where she grew her family for over 65 years.
To all who have met her, she was always optimistic and a positive light that brightened any room she entered. Jan had an infectious smile and sparkling beautiful blue eyes. She was loved by everyone and showed her genuine love in return. Jan was the anchor of her loving family and welcomed every extended member with open arms and love. She will be missed and treasured in all our memories.
Jan loved spending time with her family, watching football, doing projects in stained glass, sewing and gardening. She had creative hands and a never-ending green thumb. She loved nature and being outdoors. She enjoyed feeding and learning about the hummingbirds in her yard, nurturing the Monarch butterflies on their journey, and supported Save the Bees foundation.
She is survived by her loving family: daughter Lynn Abayan Thomas, daughter Michelle (Michael) Neeno, and son Erik (Gina) Siebdrath. Jan had eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one more on the way. Jan is also survived by sisters Jacqueline Essington and Carilee Justice.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and condolences.
Celebration of life will follow with close family members.
