

Raul G Morales was a long time Norwalk resident passed away on June 13,2015 at age 80. He was born in Deming, New Mexico to Lorenzo and Juliett Morales in 1934. He had 2 brothers and 4 sisters. He spent his child hood in Deming New Mexico where he grew up and attended Deming High School. He was a member of Demming High Baseball team and Football team.
At the age of 18 he enlisted in the US Marines, during the Korean war, and was stationed in Korea. On August 25th 1954 he was entered into the Domain of the Golden Dragon fleet. He served 4 years in the military.
After the military he moved to California and started working at North America as a welder. This is where he met his late wife Betty F Ferguson. They were married and had 6 children.
He later established his own Business United Steel Corporation, a welding and rolling manufacturing company, which he was partner and operator for many years till he retired.
He loved to travel, was an avid Golfer and loved to play whenever he got the chance. He was on several golfing teams, including Moose Lodge. He loved to fish, go camping, shuffleboard, play poker and spend time with his family. He also liked to go frog hunting with his brothers.
He was a member of the Bellflower Moose Lodge, was Governor for a time, he also was a member of the American Legion and the VFW Lodge.

He leaves behind 6 children, Julie, Frances, Terry, Raul, Anna, Karen, 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren 2 sisters Alice and Gloria and 1 brother Ernie and many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
