Passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 31, 2016 in his 94th year. Predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Bentley). Cherished father of Larry (Lillian), Cyndy Buttrum (Jim) and Dave (Sharon). Loving grandfather to John (predeceased), Gary (Kierin), Sarah (Jay), Shelley (Christian), Kirsty and Gregory. Great-grandfather to Isabelle, Kase, Oliver and Asher. Companion to Audrey Jack (deceased). Al was a proud veteran of World War ll serving in the RAF Coastal Command - 224 Squadron. Lifetime employee of Bell Canada Repair for 37 years, he enjoyed his next 37+ years in retirement gardening, golfing, attending The MAC Turtle Program and dancing with The Village & Peter Street Squares. An active member of his church, St. Michael’s Priory, he loved camping with his family and later traveled extensively with Mary until she passed in 2000.
