Annie you will always be part of my memories that wonderful trip we took in 1985 from Majorca to Cortina where next year’s Winter Olympics will take place. Two Canadians hugging their skates you the superior talent but we shared that love of freedom that skating brought to our lives. I can see you now  flying into the infinite universe with your boundless energy. Skating is a passionate experience and for you my dear the planets have lined up to greet you.  Sadly you left to soon you will be missed. Bon Voyage!!

I am blessed to have known Anne. She is one of the most beloved figures in figure skating through many generations.  She was an innovator on the ice. One of my favourite memories working with Annie was when we were able to do an Annie’s edges class on the Olympic oval in Calgary. A special privilege for us all. May you rest in peace Anne.

So sorry to hear of Annes passing.  I have known Anne for many years as their were many times we were in the same skating schools.  It's been a long time since we have spoken but I will always remember her love of pure skating.  She will be missed by many.

Anne choreographed my novice women’s short program about 10+ years ago. We spent weeks together working on this program and to this day, it is my favourite program I ever got to skate with. I even remember the whole thing! It was also for my last season of competitive skating and I feel so fortunate that time was spent with Anne. It remains a highlight in my own career. Her artistry and creativity opened up a deeper connection to the ice for me. I’ll think of Anne every time I hear my piece of music. My sincerest condolences to Anne’s family and those who loved her.

Anne was an extraordinary guide, someone who transformed the way we experienced our sport and everything that came with it. With her, we discovered a new skating style—more aware, more authentic—that made us not only better athletes but also more conscious individuals, both on and off the ice.

The experiences we shared with her—from competitions to the incredible shows we had the privilege to perform—took on a deeper meaning, becoming unforgettable moments that enriched us and will stay with us forever.

Anne taught us to feel and nurture the Duende. The Duende will continue to live with us, as everything she has given us.

I am so sorry that I will be unable to attend Anne's funeral today. I have been blessed by knowing her for so many years through figure skating and know how much she contributed to the sport both nationally and internationally. She was a legend.

So incredibly sad to hear of Anne’s passing.  She was a treasure to the skating community and left a lasting transformation in every skater she taught.  Her Annie’s Edges technique is a perfect fit for synchronized skating and she shared and taught it to teams throughout the world, none moreso than her home team, Nexxice. Her love of the sport was contagious and she inspired and motivated with her energy and creativity.  She was a visionary and a perfectionist and she had a unique ability to lead others towards that vision. She learned from her skaters as they learned from her and she used to say of her first students ‘they were my first teachers’.  Anne, we will sadly miss you but your legacy will live forever.

So sorry to hear this. I skated with Ann in Burlington for many years. We did similar pairs and similar dance together. Such a fun person. ❤️
