

Died peacefully after a short but intense battle with infection. A Bowmanville girl and then a Dundas resident since 1958. Predeceased by husband Bill from Hamilton in 2007. Sister to Hazel in Woodstock and predeceased brother Harvey from North Van 2000. Sister in law to Ruth and Harold in Hamilton. Cousin, aunt and friend to many others. Her three sons, Warren, Scott and Mark mourn her lost, but are glad that she is now free from pain and suffering. She was a Grade 13 English Teacher who taught at Dundas District, H.C.I. and Westdale during her 30 years in the Hamilton Board. A lover of live theatre, books, especially mystery novels and all things British, volunteer and passionate supporter of her Alma Mata, McMaster University, as well as many other charitable causes. A fixture at St. Paul's United in Dundas, where she remained active till the end. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at HGH ICU South who provided great care during her stay.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME “Swackhamer Chapel”, 195 King St. W., Dundas on Tuesday, June 3 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Service will be at St. Paul’s United Church, 29 Park St. W., Dundas at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 4.
