Dumitrel will be dearly missed by his wife of 32 years, Daniela, his adored children Michelle (Eli) and Jason, his surviving siblings Marioara, Constantin, Danuzia, Mariana, and Adriana, and by his many beloved nieces and nephews throughout Canada and Romania.
Dumitrel is predeceased by his parents, Gheorghe and Feodora Tofan, and his siblings Adam, Gheorghe (“Gelu”), Carmen, and Ionel.
Those who knew Dumitrel will remember him for his incredible sense of humour, his laugh, generosity, selflessness, and brilliant mind. Dumitrel adored his family more than anything and never hesitated to put them first. He will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and countless others he touched with his lively and energetic spirit.
Visitation will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home, Swackhamer Chapel (905-627-7452), 195 King Street West, Dundas, on Monday, August 26th, 2024 from 5:00pm-9:00pm. A private funeral service and interment will be held at a later date.
