Gerry will be sadly missed by his wife and best friend Diana (nee Phillips) of 59 years. Cherished father of Lynn (predeceased), David (Ida), Ted (Lori) and Cheryl (Jose). Brother of Robert Coleman (predeceased), sister-in-law Anna. Proud grandfather to Kyle, David, Katie, William, Ben, Marissa, Garrett, Brennan and Andrew. Great-grandfather to Carter and Annabelle. Brother-in-law of Ted (Faith) Phillips. Gerry was a proud, long-time employee of Dofasco, avid outdoorsman and long time member of the Hamilton Gun Club. Remembered for his great dedication as a long time Coordinator for the CANUSA games skeet shooting team and as a member and volunteer of Ducks Unlimited Canada. Gerry will be remembered for his remarkable courage with his long time battle with Parkinson's for 30 years and his perseverance during the last few years of his life. Visitation will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 195 King Street W., Dundas on Wednesday, September 2nd from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Special thanks to all the caregivers during his stay at Wentworth Lodge and a special thank you to the day program at St. Joseph's villa for their many years of support. For those who wish to make donations in Gerry's memory, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Parkinson's Society would be greatly appreciated.
