Passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015, in his 60th year, after a seven month battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents Allan and Joyce Swackhammer. Loved brother of Laurie Swackhammer. Dear father of Angela Swackhammer (Rich Johnston), Eric Swackhammer, and Kodie Swackhammer. “Little” Papa of Leah Forrest, Samantha and Jessica Johnston. Former member of U.A. Locals 67 and 527. Life-long resident of Dundas, until recently retiring up “North”, where he enjoyed fishing, kayaking and outdoor activities with his faithful canine companion Maddie. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Grove Cemetery, Dundas on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 1 p.m. A reception to celebrate his life will follow at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 195 King Street West, Dundas, from 2 p.m. – 4p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Cancer Assistance Program.
