

Peacefully, on Monday, March 5th, after an eight year battle with Parkinson’s disease, at Wentworth Lodge in Dundas. Herb was in his 82nd year. Loving husband for 54 years to Evelyn (nee George). World’s best dad to Wayne and Rita Bishop, Debra and Michael Peroune, all of Burlington, Brenda and Glenn Westoby and Laurie and Gord Aglor, all of Dundas. Cherished and wonderful grandpa to Brad and Kristyn Westoby, Tyler, Kody and Kyle Aglor and Bryan Peroune. Dad was predeceased by his precious grandson Christopher Peroune (June 2009). Herb is survived by his brothers Charlie and Harvey, and sisters Hazel Clark and Clara Mulholland . He was predeceased by his parents Thomas Herbert and Laura Rose Bishop, brothers Jack, Tom, Ted and Walter and sister Beverly Rivando. Dad will be remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews, and many dear and treasured friends. Herb was a longtime member of Binkley United Church and Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club. The family is forever grateful for the kind and compassionate care Herb received from the staff of Trillium Court, Wentworth Lodge and Dr. Scott Nash. Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Thursday, March 8th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Service to be held on Friday, March 9th at 11 a.m. at Binkley United Church, 1570 Main Street West, Hamilton. Interment at Mount Zion Cemetery, Copetown. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Herb’s memory to Binkley United Church, the Parkinson’s Society, or charity of choice.
