Howard Morris

Peacefully, with his family by his side, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Penlington) for 57 years. Dear father of Marilyn Steadman (Jeff), Mark (Dawn), and Mary-Margaret (Shane). Cherished grandpa of Sarah, Emily and Katie Steadman. Howard had a strong work ethic in his professional as well as personal life. He retired after many years in the construction industry as Vice President of Canadian Engineering and Contracting Co. Limited, and was also past president of the Hamilton Construction Association. Howard grew up in Westdale and was one of the first students to graduate from Westdale High School. He was a “project waiting to happen” and was never idle. He loved spending time at the family cottage in Kincardine, where many happy memories were created with his family. A very special thank you to all the staff in Trillium Court at Wentworth Lodge in Dundas for their compassion, kindness and care. Visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME “SWACKHAMER CHAPEL”, 195 King Street West, Dundas, on Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. A private internment will take place. Funeral Service will be held in the Marlatt Dundas Chapel on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. Donations, in his memory, may be made to City Kidz.
