

At home in Dundas in the loving care of his daughter Jennifer, Jim passed away peacefully on May 5, 2013. Predeceased by his wife Brenda Evans (nee Lamb) in 2003, Jim leaves his first wife, Barbara Jean and his only child Jennifer Jean, both of Markham ON. Born in Toronto, Jim grew up in Willowdale and was active in vocal music both at school and at the Royal Conservatory of Music. He attended McMaster University and attained a degree in Political Science. His career began with Irwin Dorsey Publishing and ended recently with the Labourers International Union. Jim was a dedicated member of the Liberal Party throughout his adult life and was President of the Ontario Liberal Party in the early 1980's. Jim continued his love for Canada throughout his lifetime. Cremation has occurred and a private family service will occur at a later date. Friends may call at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, “SWACKHAMER CHAPEL”, 195 King Street West, Dundas, on Monday, May 13, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. A private family Service will be held at a later date.
