Predeceased by her husband John “Jack” in 2007, and by her parents Anne (nee Lawrence) and Emory Suter, and by her sister in law Marjorie Smith. She is survived by her nephew Glen Smith, his wife Caroline and their family along with cousins Dorothy Butterworth and Ferne Nash, as well as many others. Lois had several good friends and many caring neighbours. Lois retired from teaching after 36 years, first with the North Cayuga and then the Hamilton School Boards. After retiring, Lois and Jack enjoyed many southern holidays. She also spent many good years volunteering in the gift shop at the Art Gallery of Hamilton, on committees of the ladies section at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club, and with the Garden Club of Hamilton. There will be a graveside service at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1895 Main Street West, Hamilton.
