After following the Lord for nearly ninety years, Namrod was called Home to be with Jesus and reunite with his beloved wife of 49 years, Ilena Georgis. Namrod leaves behind his adored children, Fadi (Svetlana), Dalyia, Natalia, and Danny (Katie). Namrod will be sorely missed by his grandchildren, Samuel and Eli, David, Demeil, and Ariella and his sister in law, Anne Georgis. Loved and missed by nephews Ibrahim, Farid, Byrim, and Albert, and niece Victoria.
With a brilliant scientific mind, Namrod laboured for the Lord and his family throughout his long career in Iraq and Oman. Namrod was passionate about improving lives through food sciences and made a deep impact across the globe. He taught for many years in several universities across the world and worked as the chief scientific researcher for public and international organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. He was even more passionate about his children and the impact he would leave on them. Second only to his faith, education was very important to Namrod and he ensured that his children had abundant opportunities to learn and to succeed. Namrod and Ilena immigrated to Canada with their family in 1994 where he retired and watched his children continue to grow. He delighted in his grandchildren and loved it when everyone came together.
Namrod was a Godly, humble man. His desire was to honour the Lord with his life, his work, and his family. He leaves behind a legacy of faith and love. Well done, good and faithful servant.
