

Passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, November 12, 2016 at home, surrounded by family. Loving husband of Gail for 45 years. Cherished father of Penny Fox and Kristy Barber. Devoted grandfather to Keenan, Colin and Spencer. Pack leader to his many dachshunds. Paul graduated from Crestwood Vocational School in 1968 and worked in small appliance repairs until 1970. In 1970 he opened his first operation in Brantford, Ontario. This was the start to many years as a self-made business man. Within five years he became the second largest small appliance repair shop in Southwestern Ontario. January 1, 1975 marks the date of opening his second operation in Hamilton. While in Hamilton he began repairing restaurant equipment, selling the small appliance business in 1984. He went full time into restaurant equipment repairs in 1984 opening an operation on Ferrie Street East in Hamilton. In 2004 he expanded and bought the Old Aquarium Restaurant on Barton Street East. On January 1, 2010 Paul opened his third operation, Avondale Restaurant Equipment. October 2016 celebrates 46 years in business. Family and friends are welcome to Marlatt Funeral Home “Swackhamer Chapel”, 195 King Street West, Dundas, on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Legion Service at 7:00 p.m. A brief service will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Marlatt Funeral Home.
