At St. Joseph’s Hospital on Friday, October 28, 2016 in her 73rd year, Ruth passed away suddenly, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Predeceased by her husband Al (1991) and her son Gary (1965). Loving mother to Darrell, Kim (Todd), and Kelly (Steve). Beloved Nana to Melissa, Victoria, Lucas, and Jaden. Survived by her siblings Douglas (Olivia), Doreen (Bill), Lenore (Ray), Evelyn (Paul), Sharon (Ron), Art (Shirley), Charlie (Evelyn), David (Brenda), Kevin (Lorie), Brenda (Dana), and her sister in law Anne. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Jean Thompson, her sister Valerie, and her brother Ken. Friends may call at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME “Swackhamer Chapel”, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Sunday, October 30th from 2-4 & 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, October 31st at 11am. Interment to follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery, Dundas.
