Passed away at home with courage and dignity surrounded by her loving family. After 59 years of marriage to her best friend and the love of her life, Sheila leaves behind her loving husband Ed (John). She was a caring and devoted mother to her three daughters Sharon, Sandra and Susan. She always had enough time and love for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The "best grandma in the world" to Sean Kenehan (Dianne), Derek Kenehan (Nicole), Michael Hanmer, Shannon Hanmer, Claire Bonduro and Emily Bonduro and great-grandma to Mitchell, Kyle,Jackson and Samantha. Sheila was a wonderful and special sister to Elaine Morrice and Robert MacGillivray and niece to Daisy. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews Glen, Brad, Ellen and Roberta. In her lifetime, Sheila made several very close friendships and will always be remembered by her beautiful smile and kind heart. A special thank you to the V.O.N. nurses and our homecare worker, who helped Mom through this journey. For the caring support that Dr. Sandra Kane-Corriveau gave to Mom and Dad, we will always be grateful. A memorial reception will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME & CREAMTION CENTRE, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 2 until 4 p.m. with a Celebration of Life starting at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Hamilton SPCA (former home of Harper and Summer) or any other cause special to you.
