Willy Gretha Cornelia of Kincardine, formerly of Copetown, passed away peacefully at South Bruce Grey Health Centre on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026, in her 95th year.
Beloved wife for 64 years of the late Casey (2020). Mother of loving daughters Carolyne (Lou) and Debbie (John) and proud Grandmother of Jordan, Inessa, Michael and Step-grandmother of Matt and Ben. Great Grandmother of Aria and Koa. Predeceased by her parents Pieter and Cornelia and brothers Leendert and Adriaan.
Willy was born in Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1952 at the age of 20, following her childhood sweetheart Casey who came to Canada 3 years prior in 1949.
Willy enjoyed everything about flowers, gardening and houseplants. She loved to bake, knit and do embroidery. But her favourite was the love of swimming. From her younger years of competitive swimming to enjoying their backyard pool.
A special thank you to the wonderful palliative care team at Kincardine Hospital. As per her wishes, a small private family service has taken place.
