Ann J. (fontaine) Barnard

Ann J. (Fontaine) Barnard, 86, of East Hartford, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, (December 28, 2005) at the Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her dear friends. Born in Derby, VT, a daughter of the late Barthelemi and Alice (Gaboriault) Fontaine, she had resided in East Hartford for the past 50 years. She was formerly employed as a hair stylist for over 30 years at Joan's Beauty Salon on Pratt Street, Hartford and for over the past ten years has worked at TJ Maxx Department Store, East Hartford. Ann enjoyed spending time outside in her yard, especially gardening, and was very fond of the many different types of jewelry. Besides her parents, Ann was predeceased by a brother, Gerard Fontaine of Newport Center, VT and a sister, Sister Eda Fontaine of Burlington, VT. Ann is survived by a brother, Joseph Fontaine and his wife, Florence, of Newport, VT; a sister, Mariette Regets of San Antonio, TX; her very close dear friend and extended family, Mary Aleo and her husband, Alexander, of East Hartford; Marilyn Boccaccio and her husband, Paul of East Hartford and their two sons, Joseph and Nicholas; Susan Quaglia and her husband, Joseph, of Manchester and their two daughters, Jodie and Randie; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 31st with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Cambridge Drive, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. There are no calling hours. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church on the morning of the funeral.
