Anne V. (Gilberto) Morin

Anne V. (Gilberto) Morin, 85, of East Hartford, devoted wife of over 67 years of Eugene J. Morin, peacefully went to be with Our Lord on Thursday, April 19, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at her home. Born in Hartford on August 10, 1932, a daughter of the late Carmelo and Rose (Crescimano) Gilberto, she had been a resident of East Harford since 1955. Anne was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, Class of 1950. Prior to her retirement, Anne was the Office Manager for over 30 years at the former Jeannie Erectors Construction Company, East Hartford. A devout Catholic, Anne was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church, East Hartford. She was an avid bingo player who enjoyed playing bingo at area venues. Most of all, Anne loved her family, and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her beloved husband, Anne is survived by three daughters, Nancy Gagliardi and her husband, Anthony, of Coventry, Jeannie Picano and her companion, Carl Schultz, Jr., of Coventry, Marcy Gionfriddo and her husband, Robert, of East Hartford; ten cherished grandchildren; thirteen adored great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. She also leaves a special cousin, Jack Migliore of Manchester. Along with her parents, Anne was predeceased by a brother, Paul Gilberto of East Hartford and a sister, Jean Shanahan of East Hartford.

Funeral service will be Friday (April 27th) with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Harford. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury. (Anne’s family has requested that everyone please go directly to the church on Friday morning). There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anne’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The D’ESOPO-East Harford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
