

Arthur was born on March 17, 1952 on the island of Barbados to the late Dennis Morris and the late Phyllis McCollin. After secondary school he went on to serve in the Barbados Regiment and later the Barbados Police Force. After moving to the United States in the early 1980s, he worked for many years as head of the security department at Cigna. Arthur enjoyed traveling and went to many international destinations with his lovely wife. Other past times of his included reading the Barbados Nation News Paper on line, watching Barbados at Sunrise on YouTube daily and keeping up with current events.
In addition to his wife, Arthur is survived by and will be dearly missed by his three daughters, Denise McCollin of Maryland, Cheryl McCollin of East Hartford and Natalie McCollin of Rocky Hill, his four brothers who reside in Barbados, Derek McCollin, Henderson McCollin, Allan Haynes, and David McCollin, his nieces and nephews that reside in Barbados, Adrian Boyce, Sabrina McCollin-Barrow, Neil McCollin, Andrew McCollin, Desiree McCollin, Allan Haynes and Jason Haynes.
The McCollin family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all friends and family for the support, love, and concern shown to them during this difficult time. Arthur had a love of dogs, especially his beloved pet Sophie. A Funeral service for Arthur will be held July 14, 2023 at 11 am at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects starting at 10 am. His final remains will be laid to rest in Barbados.
