Aurea Esther (Feliciano) Echevarria, 77, of Hartford, wife of the late Julian Echevarria died Saturday (September 7, 2013) with her loving family by her side. She was born in Puerto Rico on November 25, 1935, the daughter of the late Manuel and Sofia (Gonzalez) Feliciano and lived in Hartford for more than 40 years. She is survived by three sons; Edwin Echevarria and his wife Francia of Manchester, Julian Echevarria, Jr. and Samuel Echevarria and his spouse Lourdes Venegas, both of Hartford; a daughter, Maribeth Stokes and her husband Alfonso of Hartford; seven brothers and five sisters; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by five brothers and sisters.
The funeral is Wednesday, September 11, beginning at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 49 Winthrop Street, Hartford, CT 06103. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 10 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
