Belinda Rivera Cruz

Belinda Rivera Cruz, 48, of Manchester, loving wife of Oscar Cruz, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2013 with her caring family by her side at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a long illness. Born in Hartford on July 5, 1965, she had been a resident of Hartford for most of her life prior to living in Manchester for over the past five years. Belinda was a graduate of Bulkeley High School, Hartford and liked the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, along with being a talented painter and seamstress. Most of all, she loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother and spending time with her entire family. Besides her beloved husband, Oscar, Belinda is survived by three sons, Isaac C. Cruz and his significant other, Maria Gay, of Vernon, Manuel Cruz of Manchester, Oscar Nicholas Cruz of Manchester; a daughter, Emily Leah Cruz of New Britain; five brothers, Orlando, Hector, Fred, Uriel, Arnaldo; six sisters, Delia, Sonia, Waida, Alice, Becky, Laura; nine adored grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday (October 30th) at 11 am at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will be at East Cemetery, Manchester. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday morning from 10-11 am.
