Benoit Christian Landry

Benoit Christian Landry, 71, of East Hartford, husband of Anicette (Pelletier) Landry died Saturday (November 3, 2012) at home. Born in St. Jean De LaLande, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Wilbrod Joseph and Yvonne (Blanchette) Landry and lived in East Hartford for more than 30 years. He was a self- employed carpenter for many years. Besides being an avid hunter and fisherman, Benoit was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #6119 in Hartford. Above all, his wife and family were the most important component of his life. Besides his devoted wife of 50 years, he is survived by five cherished children, four sons, Francis Landry of East Hartford, Danny Landry and his wife Diane of East Hartford, Steve Landry and Chantal of Montreal, Michael Landry and his wife, Jennifer of Andover; a daughter, Vicky Landry and Marcel Wallace of East Hartford; three brothers, Wilfred Landry of Canada, Euclide Landry and Michele of Canada and Beatrick Landry of Hebron; two sisters, Annette Landry and Yvan of Canada and Jeanine Landry of Canada as well as 12 grandchildren, Erik, Shayna, Zacharie, Alycea, Ryan, Brendan, Meagan, Cedric, Vanessa, Mikey, Michele and Samuel. Benoit was predeceased by a brother Yvon and three sisters, Yvonnette, Blanche and Evette.

The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday (November 10) at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford, CT 06118. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours will be on Friday (November 9) from 4-8 p.m. at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St, East Hartford, CT 06118.
