

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beverly A. Gordon Thibodeau, lovingly known as “Bunny,” who passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 13, 2025 surrounded by her beloved family, at the age of 78, after a courageous battle of cancer.
Beverly was born on July 18, 1946, in Hartford, Connecticut, and spent most of her life in East Hartford, where she resided for 56 years before relocating to South Windsor. She was predeceased by her parents, George H. Gordon and Linda A. Ciocci Gordon.
She leaves behind her devoted husband Andrew J. Thibodeau of 61 years. Together, they shared a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She also leaves behind four children: Diana Hibner (Steve Kouroyen) of FL, Lisa Futtner (Jeff) of CT, Andrew J. Thibodeau Jr. (Karen) of VT, and Denise Wojick (Jay) of SC. Beverly was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren. Brandon and Nicole Hibner, Lauren, Jennifer and Steven Futtner, Kevin, Evan and Jenna Thibodeau, Kyle Firlik, Haley, Chandler and Conner Wojick. Five great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy. She also leaves behind her two brothers, George Gordon (Marie) of CT and Tom Gordon (Karen) of CT. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, she also leaves behind her cherished dog Cuddles who brought immense joy and comfort to her life.
A longtime member of the Young Italian American Club, Beverly was known for her passion for life and her strong personality. She had a deep love for travel, playing cards, and spending time at the casino. Beverly also enjoyed doing puzzles and crafting, activities that brought her both peace and joy.
Beverly worked in retail for many years, most recently at Talbots, where she formed close relationships with her customers, many of whom became lifelong friends. Her kindness, warmth, and ability to make everyone feel welcome were hallmarks of her character. She was cherished by many, including her dear friends, Gail Lindsay and Terry Fagan, who were a constant source of support and companionship.
Beverly’s family and friends will remember her for her loving nature, her sense of humor, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her memory will live in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral service will be Thursday (June 19th) at 9:45 am from the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 am at St. Christopher Church of North American Martyrs Parish, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, (Section BB), East Hartford. Beverly’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday (June 18th) from 4-7 pm at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Beverly’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 111 Founders Plaza, 2nd Floor, East Hartford, CT 06108 or to the Young Italian American Club Scholarship Fund, 75 Westwood Drive, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
