

Carol (Angelica) Salvatore, 79, of East Hartford, loving wife of 60 years of the late Carmine H. “Butch” Salvatore, peacefully went to join her husband in heaven on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the Riverside Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, East Hartford. Born in Newport, RI on October 3, 1943, a daughter of the late Carmelo and Helen (Cook) Angelica, she had been a resident of East Hartford for over 54 years. Carol liked to crochet blankets, afghans, and clothes for her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and loved cooking Italian pasta Sunday dinners and baking birthday cakes for her family. Most of all, Carol was a devoted and proud wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her entire family.
Carol is survived by her two sons, Carmine H. Salvatore, Jr. of East Hartford, Anthony D. Salvatore and his wife Kimberly of South Windsor; two adored grandchildren, Angelina B. Salvatore and Anthony M. Salvatore both of South Windsor; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Besides her beloved husband and parents she was predeceased by her siblings.
Funeral service will be Friday (October 6, 2023) with a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Church of St. Edmund Campion Parish, 370 May Road, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. There are no calling hours. Carol’s family asks that everyone please go directly to the church on Friday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carol’s name may be made to a favorite charity of the donor’s choice. The D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
