Charles W. Hutchinson

Charles W. 'Chuck' Hutchinson, 67, of Farmington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, (July 15, 2010) surrounded by his family. Chuck was the husband for 23 years to Carole (Volpe) Hutchinson. Born in Hartford, a son of the late Helen (Shepard) Montai and the late Charles Hutchinson, he had been a resident of the Hartford area for most of his life. Chuck was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served in Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis in the Vietnam Era. Chuck was a former supervisor at Rudder Maintenance Company for 27 years, and liked to fish and play jokes on his family and friends. Along with his parents, Chuck was predeceased by two brothers, Jack and Raymond Hutchinson, and a sister, Marie Colangelo. Besides his wife, Chuck is survived by his four children, Trudy, Chuck Jr., Tracy, and Shelly; a sister, Jackie Poitras of East Hartford; a brother, Antoine Babineau of Lebanon; three step-children, John, Terry, Laurie; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday (July 19) at 1:30 p.m. at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford. Burial with military honors will be at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
