Diane A. Maestrone

Diane A. Maestrone,71, entered into eternal life on Friday, November 10, 2023 with her family by her side. Born on November 25,1951 to the late Louis Maestrone and Henrietta (Perry) Maestrone, Diane was a resident of East Hartford for most of her life. She was a graduate of George J Penney High School, class of 1969. She received her Associates Degree from Albertus Magnus College. Diane worked in the insurance industry most of her life, retiring as a Compliance Officer from S.B.L.I. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed watching her daily soap operas. Diane loved baking, cooking and sharing her delicious recipes and dishes with family and friends. Diane was always singing, including singing in various local church choirs. But most of all, Diane will be remembered as a loving and caring sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend.

Diane will be dearly missed by her sister Angeline Fleig and her husband Peter of Hebron; niece Kellie Ford and her husband John and their children Angelina and Kassandra of Manchester; nephew David Fleig and his wife Amanda and their children Liliana and Carson of Columbia; two lifelong friends Betsy Messenger and Nancy Sheridan. Diane was predeceased by her brother Thomas Maestrone.

Funeral service will be Thursday, November 16, 2023 with a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at (10 am) at Saint Rose Church of North American Martyrs Parish, 33 Church St. East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. There are no calling hours. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church Thursday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Diane’s name may be made to the Make a Wish America, 1702 E. Highland Ave., Suite 400 Phoenix, AZ 85016. The D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
