Dorila Andrea Salcedo

Dorila Andrea (Reategui) Salcedo, 74, of East Hartford, entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 5, 2024. Born on November 23, 1949 to the late Carlos and Alejandrina (Vela) Reategui in Lima, Peru where she grew up. Dori has been a resident of East Hartford for the last 34 years to be close with her family. In her free time, Dori enjoyed knitting and puzzling. She had a talent for sewing and tailoring clothes. Dori also cared for her indoor plants and enjoyed browsing and walking around stores. Above all, Dori enjoyed spending time with her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

Dori leaves behind her husband Hugo Salcedo, and their six devoted children; Zelma Salcedo, Hugo Salcedo, Jaime Salcedo, Juliana Broadie , Jenny Deon, and Marianella Flores. Two son-in-laws Willie Broadie and Paul Deon and two daughter-in-laws Cecilia and Liliana Salcedo. Twelve cherished grandchildren; Andrea, Patricia, Liliana, Gabriela, Eddie, Nicole, Willie Jr., Dave, Joel, Paul Jr., Johan, and Aime. Four adored great-grandchildren; Matias, Sofia, Catalina, Rafaella, and Eli. And five brothers; Carlos, Rodolfo, Cesar, Miguel, Marcos Raetegui. Along with several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A funeral service to honor Dori’s life will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 12 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St. East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Thursday from 10 am – 12 pm.
