Fabian Pineros, 69, devoted father, committed employee, and generous soul, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 9 in Glastonbury, Connecticut. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Susan Ruth Pineros.
Born in South America on May 21, 1946, Fabian was the loyal son of the late Antonio Sanchez and Emma (Pineros) Sanchez. After his family’s move to Hartford, Fabian attended and graduated from Hartford Public High School, where he was a standout soccer player and Captain of his team. Since his early youth, Fabian fell deeply in love with the game of fútbol, or as he called it, “the beautiful game.” His passionate pursuit of the game took him to dozens of pitches from Hartford to New York. For years, Fabian’s ambitious spirit allowed him to win multiple championships as a member of the Oakwood Soccer Club in Glastonbury. He developed a reputation as a fierce competitor, never willing to give an inch to his opponent. He struck a fire within his teammates and inspired even the weakest members of his squad to strive for glory.
Fabian’s determination for excellence wasn’t confined to the soccer field. As the first employee hired by Beauty Enterprises, Inc., he tirelessly committed himself day and night to supporting its high degree of success. Fabian enjoyed and took pride in his work, and his strong work ethic was an integral part of Beauty’s tremendous growth. Building the company through grit, struggle, and resolute effort gratified Fabian, and he would continue to faithfully serve the Beauty Enterprise brand for over 45 years, most recently acting as its Operations Manager. In addition to his operations work, Fabian also served as a courier for the Hartford Courant, where he spent 25+ years delivering the news in Hartford County. Dependability and devotion were the hallmarks of Fabian’s reputation. Rain or shine, seven days a week—Fabian never let the company down. He will be sorely missed by the Hartford Courant community, and everyone who was fortunate enough to know and love him.
Besides his father, Fabian was predeceased his by sister-in-law Lois Warboys. He is survived by his son, Fabian Pineros, Jr. and his wife, Candice, of Rocky Hill; three daughters, Jeanine L. Munoz and her husband, Jose of East Hartford, Jennifer A. Pineros of San Diego, CA, and Jessica M. Pineros of East Hartford. He is also survived by two brothers, Jimmy Sanchez and Fred Pinero; and two sisters, Gloria Kovaleski and her husband Paul, and Claire Williams and her late husband Richard; his beloved and cherished grandchildren, Jonathan Munoz, Caleb J. Munoz, Emma Pineros, and Jacob Pineros; a special niece, Lisa DeNova and her husband Robert; her children Nicholas, Samantha and Alyssa Sanchez; a nephew Anthony and his children Max and Mia Malave; a nephew Stacy Warboys; and many other special nieces and nephews in and outside of Connecticut.
A celebration of Fabian’s life will be held on Saturday, May 14 at 10:30 am at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Friday, May 13 from 4-8 pm.
