
Gwyneth (Naylor) Rapoza, 73, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Daniel F. Rapoza, passed away Monday (December 6, 2010). She was born May 13, 1937 in Beverly, MA, the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Annie Aelwen (Davies) Naylor. Prior to her retirement in 1999 Gwyneth was employed for over 20 years by the Landmark School in Manchester, MA. Gwyneth was active at the East Hartford Senior Center and was a member of the Red Hats. She enjoyed gardening and caring for the neighborhood birds and Bailey, the family dog. She is survived by three daughters, Gail L. Gagnon of East Hartford, Tegwen Helgason and her husband Jon of Beverly, MA, and Sharlean Vieira and her husband Frank of Salem, MA; a son, Daniel F. Rapoza Jr. and his wife Pamela of Daytona Beach Shores, FL; a brother Arthur Naylor of Seabrook, NH; eleven grandchildren Adam Gagnon, Rachel Raum, Kristine Helgason, Samantha Nelson, Daniel, Jessica, Frank, and David Vieira, Ryan Downing, and Ashley and David Rapoza, and four great grandchildren Colwyn, Lachlann, Fiona and Niall Raum. She was predeceased by a son Gregory D. Downing. A memorial service will be celebrated Thursday (December 9th) at 9 a.m. at the First Church of Christ, 2183 Main Street, Glastonbury. Burial in Beverly Farms Cemetery, Beverly Farms, MA will be at a later date. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford.
