

Helen M. (Juliano) Little, 89, of East Hartford, loving wife of over 49 years of the late Richard F. Little, peacefully passed on at her home with her caring family nearby on Sunday, February 26, 2017. Born in Hartford on October 1, 1927, a daughter of the late Daniel J. and Catherine (DePardo) Juliano, she had been a resident of East Hartford since 1966. Prior to her retirement in 1989, Helen was employed for 32 years by Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford. A devout Catholic, Helen was an active communicant of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford where she was a former Eucharistic Minister and a member of their small Christian community club. She also volunteered many hours of her time at Manchester Memorial Hospital, East Hartford Soup Kitchen, Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross, and the American Lung Association.
Helen is survived by her two daughters, Donna Marie Baracchi and her husband, John, of East Hartford with whom she made her home, Diane C. Thorpe and her husband, Gary, of Waldoboro, ME; a brother, Nicholas Juliano and his wife, Katherine, of Ellington; three cherished grandsons, Thomas John Baracchi, EMT and his wife, Heather, of Southington, Ian Thorpe, BM3 with the U.S. Coast Guard stationed in Hull, MA, Aiden Thorpe, MK3 with the U.S. Coast Guard stationed in Key West, FL; one adored great-grandson, Trevor Austin Baracchi of Southington; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (March 3rd) at 11:30 am at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Helen’s name may be made to Hope 4 Autism, 196 Trumbull Street, #301, Hartford, CT 06103. The D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
