James Paul Taylor, 67, loving husband of Diana Zerbarini-Taylor, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday January 15, 2024. He was the son of the late Stanley and Esther (Bragden) Taylor. After graduating high school, Jim became an electrician and worked for Unicorr. He also resided in New Haven, North Carolina, and North Haven before settling in East Hartford. In his free time, Jim enjoyed going for car rides in his Camaro with Diana, cooking, and tinkering around fixing anything and everything. Jim’s favorite time was spent on his boat, especially when he would take the kids tubing. Above all, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who enjoyed spending time with each and every one of his family members.
Along with his wife, Jim leaves behind one daughter Wendi Taylor and her daughter Olivia Taylor of Caro Michigan. Four step-children; Douglas Stratoudakis and wife Jacki and their children Aiden and Hailey of Ellington, Steven Stratoudakis of West Haven, Joshua Zerbarini and wife Keeley of Canton, Kayla Rossi and significant other Diana Ohlenforst of San Jose, CA. Four siblings; Gale Mase and her children Marsha, Kim, Toni, and Anthony; Luann Taylor; Dana Taylor and wife Sandy and their children Leigh Ann, Dana B, and Tammy; and David Taylor. Along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who were all special and close to his heart. Jim was predeceased by his daughter Suzanne Dozier and husband Andrew.
Jim’s family will receive family and friends on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St. East Hartford followed by a funeral service at 2:30 pm. There is no burial.
