

Judith Marie (Nock) Arthmann, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Born on June 12, 1944, in Hartford, CT to her parents James and Leatrice (Interlante) Nock, Judith lived a fulfilling life, leaving an indelible impression on everyone she met.
Judith's warm and giving nature made those around her feel like family. Her love and compassion extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of friends and acquaintances alike. Known for her contagious smile, Judith's warmth was a beacon of joy for anyone in her presence.
She will be fondly remembered for her incredible skills in the kitchen. Her cooking and baking were legendary, and she treasured the moments spent hosting holiday celebrations filled with love, laughter, and delicious food. Her gatherings were always full of joy, embodying her belief in the importance of family and togetherness.
Judith was especially proud of her role as a mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy came from her family, whom she cherished above all. She devoted her life to nurturing and supporting her loved ones, creating beautiful memories that will be treasured forever.
Judith graduated from Bulkeley High School in 1962. In her youth, she participated in the 1960’s World Fair as a talented polka dancer. She married her beloved husband, Philip Arthmann, on September 11, 1971, and together they raised two sons, Gregory and Christopher, in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. Judith dedicated 26 years to Liberty Mutual Insurance Company before retiring in 2006.
In retirement, Judith and Philip relocated to Wethersfield, Connecticut, where they have lived for the past 17 years. There, she continued to spread her love and kindness, making their home a place of warmth for family and friends.
Judith's legacy of love, kindness, and family will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but do not despair, her loving spirit will continue to inspire all of us who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Cherished grandmother to Brady Arthmann of Clearwater, FL and Christopher Jr. Arthmann, Thomas Arthmann, Matthew Arthmann and Savanna Arthmann of Dallas, Texas.
Judith is survived by her brother Reverend James Nock of Wethersfield, CT, brother Paul Nock and his wife Dolores of Wethersfield, CT, Sister-in-law Kathleen Pitchel and her husband Steven, sister-in-law Kathy Arthmann (wife of Judith’s late brother-in-law Douglas Arthmann), sister-in-law Karen Fraher and sister-in-law Linda Slamin.
Judith is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Judith’s visitation on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford, CT. Visitation will be followed by a 12:00 pm funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church of North American Martyrs Parish, Main Street/Maplewood Avenue, East Hartford.
Burial ceremony will take place on Thursday February 27, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, 990 LaGrange Street, West Roxbury, MA 02132 (St. Francis Ave, Lot 570).
