Judith Ann (greer) Donovan

Judith Ann (Greer) Donovan, 70, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Donovan, peacefully passed into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, (January 9, 2009) at her home. Born in Waterbury on December 2, 1938, a daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Spillane) Greer, she had resided in East Hartford for the past 46 years. Judith, a graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, was a proud mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending most of her time with all of them. Along with her husband and parents, Judith was predeceased by a brother, H. Allen Greer formerly of Marlborough and Cape Cod, MA. Judith is survived by her six dedicated and loyal children, Daniel J. Donovan, Jr. and his wife, Eniko, of Manchester, Douglas G. Donovan and his wife, Leslie, of Glastonbury, Donald H. Donovan and his wife, Birgitta, of South Windsor, David J. Donovan and his wife, Tracey, of South Windsor, Dean M. Donovan and his wife, Lauren, of Colchester, and Mary-Jo Adams and her husband, Christopher, of East Hartford. She also leaves her nineteen precious grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Marie Greer of Osterville, MA, Mary Donovan of Enfield, Margaret Chartier of Enfield; a brother-in-law, Jack Donovan of Gorham, ME; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday (January 14) at 11 a.m at the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
