Mary Teddy Clemento (Chester)

Mary ""Teddy"" (Chester) Clemento, 90, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Paul R. Clemento, peacefully passed away on Sunday (July 21, 2013). Born in East Hartford on Sept. 2, 1922, a daughter of the late Louis M. and Theresa (Longo) Chester, she had been a life-long resident of the town. A devout catholic, Mary was a faithful communicant of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford and a former member of their Ladies Guild. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an Officer of the Bank at Society for Savings and was a member of the Women Bank Officers and the American Women's Business Association. She was also a member of the South-End Seniors in East Hartford and enjoyed spending time with her family. Besides her husband and parents, Mary was predeceased by a brother, Michael L. Chester. Mary is survived by a special aunt, Carmella Rizzo of Newington; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and former co-workers.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 29, at 10:30 a.m. from the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, (Section P), Burnside Avenue, East Hartford.
